PlayStation Promises 2023 Will Be A Big Year For PS5 – Here Are The Details!

The company is promising big things coming to PlayStation 5 in 2023, including significant new games and tools.

PlayStation recently revealed some of the big things PS5 gamers can expect in the new year. The new additions include major video game and hardware announcements. So far, the company has been mostly silent about its 2023 offerings.

Major PlayStation games are coming out in 2022, including the critically acclaimed God of War Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West. Still, the company has yet to reveal the complete line-up of games for the new year.

Now, the company has surprised fans with a few titles they can expect in the first few months of 2023, as well as one that will arrive a little later.

PlayStation will kick off 2023 on January 24 with the release of Square Enix’s Forspoken. An open-world action RPG, Forspoken is a PlayStation 5 console exclusive. If all goes to plan, it could be one of the first big PS5 releases of the year. And on February 10, PS5 players can look forward to Hogwarts Legacy, the highly anticipated open-world Harry Potter game. A PS4 version of Hogwarts Legacy is also in the pipeline. But those who haven’t yet upgraded to Sony’s latest console will have to wait until April 4 for the game.

Later in the year, PlayStation gamers can look forward to the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the highly anticipated sequel to Insomniac’s PS-exclusive Spider-Man game. Spider-Man 2 will see Peter Parker and Miles Morales reunite. The iconic Spider-Man enemy/antihero Venom will also appear. No further details have been released about the content of Spider-Man 2. But with the game scheduled for release in the autumn of 2023, more information should come to light sooner rather than later.

Many PS5 gamers are likely to be most excited about the new video games coming to the console in 2023, but others may also be interested in what new hardware will be on offer.

On January 26, the company will release the new DualSense Edge controller, essentially its answer to the Xbox Elite controller. The DualSense Edge will cost a peppery $199.99 at launch, but it includes several improvements that help justify the price tag.

Finally, the PlayStation VR2 headset will be released on February 22. PS VR2 will feature a wide range of launch games, which is expanding by the day. It will be interesting to see if it lives up to the hype. PS gamers will find out in 2023.
