Hogwarts Legacy: Game’s Already Hugely Popular – Gets Unique DualSense Controller!

PS5 users in certain regions will have the opportunity to purchase a special limited edition DualSense controller themed around the Hogwarts Legacy. Meanwhile, the game has already hit record views on Twitch!

PlayStation has unveiled a special limited edition DualSense controller to celebrate the launch of Hogwarts Legacy. Although it officially arrives today, February 10, users who bought the game’s deluxe edition have already been able to try it out. The early access period started on February 7.

The original DualSense is available in white, but players can choose from various colour options when purchasing the new controller, including Midnight Black, Cosmic Red, Starlight Blue and more.

Sony has also released a particular DualSense controller themed around God of War: Ragnarok. As well as an expensive pro controller called DualSense Edge. Now Sony has confirmed that fans in certain regions can purchase the DualSense controller designed around the Hogwarts Legacy.

It should be noted that only fans in the US and UK will be able to purchase the particular Hogwarts Legacy PS5 controller. Those interested should visit the PlayStation Direct website to place their order. Pre-orders for this Hogwarts Legacy controller will begin on Friday, 10 a.m. PT, and for UK gamers at 10 a.m. GMT, but supplies will be limited. According to the PlayStation Blog, the Hogwarts Legacy DualSense controller will be released on February 10 in the UK, but US users will have to wait until February 28 for the release.

The game will take full advantage of the DualSense controller’s various features, including support for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. These unique DualSense features will be used extensively in different parts of the game, and in some cases, the controller’s speaker will also be used.

Hogwarts Legacy rules the waves of Twitch?!

Hogwarts Legacy’s Twitter account recently confirmed that the modern console version of the game had reached a peak of 1.28 million concurrent viewers in the early access phase. The account thanks the Twitch community for the achievement, which may be difficult for future single-player games to overcome given the number of early access viewers. The staggering number surpasses Elden Ring’s record of 752,669 concurrent views and even Cyberpunk 2077’s 1.14 million views. What’s more, it’s rising up the rankings at an impressive rate.

The high anticipation for Hogwarts Legacy might not be the only thing attributed to the impressive stats, as along with the launch, Twitch drops were introduced, allowing players to unlock in-game content before the official launch.

Many of Twitch’s leading content creators, such as Summit1g, Asmongold, Esfand and Angry Joe, are among those live streaming their in-game experiences. However, Hasan Piker has stated that he will not be playing due to the controversy surrounding Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling. Despite the vast Twitch success, the program is also being boycotted by a section of the gaming community. This may suggest that the title would generate even wider enthusiasm under different circumstances.

Considering that Hogwarts Legacy is only officially released today, the game could get even more attention on Twitch. More and more content creators will be immersed in the prequel to the Harry Potter series. Avalanche Software has not confirmed the game’s post-launch content schedule. However, the action RPG could receive post-launch support, given the numbers the game is already seeing.
