Venom 3: The Tom Hardy Anti-Hero’s Return Is In The Making?!

MOVIE NEWS – The films starring the Spider-Man-less villain didn’t do well with critics, but they did well at the box office, so it’s no wonder Venom 3 is in the works.

He’s one of the characters in the Spider-Man villain gallery that readers of Marvel’s wall-crawling comics love the most. But even today, his various cinematic outbursts have not been an undivided success with audiences. Neither Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 nor the two Venom solo films starring Tom Hardy. Despite this, the actor is not giving up and has announced that pre-production on Venom 3 has now begun.

Via Instagram, where the Mad Max: A Street of Wrath star announced that the film has already entered the pre-production phase, which comes a few months before it’s set to start shooting.

He did this by sharing a video of a deleted scene from the first Venom, precisely a sequence where Hardy, as Eddie Brock, was still getting used to the symbiote he was carrying around.

No details on the film or release date are available yet, but Kelly Marcel, the screenwriter of the two Venom movies to date, is expected to make his directorial debut.

Although the films have been pretty much panned in the press and critically, it is currently one of Sony Pictures’ most profitable IPs. The first Venom made $856 million, roughly the same as Spider-Man: Homecoming. Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which was released in 2021, grossed less. But even so, with $502 million, it is still the seventh biggest box office hit of 2021.

Venom will be seen in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 this year.

Venom will soon face Spider-Man in a double feature in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, coming to PS5. Sony confirmed a few weeks ago that the open-world action video game starring Peter Parker and Miles Morales will be released later this year. However, there’s no word yet on when we’ll get a closer look at the game.
