MOVIE NEWS – The world’s fittest Italian plumber with a big mustache delights viewers in a large-scale cinematic adventure. Still, this story is different from Super Mario Bros. millions of fans of video games have become accustomed to over the decades.
In the world of games, Mario always saves Princess Peach, who the evil Bowser is attacking, and the tyrant who resembles both a Cretaceous dinosaur and a turtle constantly kidnaps or otherwise torments her. However, Super Mario Bros: The Movie twists this lineup in a big way. “We found that the princess line to be saved was too simple; we had to go beyond it,” one of the film’s directors, Aaron Horvath, explained to Total Film. – We started with the assumption that the princess is the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, whose most important task is to protect her people. In other words, Princess Peach is the head of state and general, but this does not include the fact that she must always be saved. So Mario‘s younger brother, Luigi, is now in trouble, and Mario, with the help of the warrior princess, sets out to free him.”
It helped a lot in rethinking the narrative that, in contrast to the determined and ready-to-act Mario, Luigi has been a worried, sometimes panicking figure since the beginning of time. so it is logical that he should be pulled out of the pickle. And in this position, she already shows that Princess Peach is a hot, edgy girl who immediately steps into the field of action in case of trouble because she only feels comfortable on the high side of the situation.
