Freshly released in April 2023, the new Xbox Game Pass game is like Stardew Valley with a bit of magic.

 

 

Homestead Arcana is a day one Xbox Game Pass game, now confirmed to arrive on April 21. Xbox is currently running a new ID@Xbox event showcasing various indie games that are being developed for Xbox consoles. Some of these games are even coming to Game Pass, such as Homestead Arcana.

Homestead Arcana is a farming/lifestyle simulation game for the uninitiated, along the lines of Stardew Valley and several other titles. The twist is that in Homestead Arcana, players take on the role of an “agricultural witch” who must help a land corrupted by an evil force called Miasma.

Players are free to build and maintain their own farm in the game. They can use magical spells to grow crops. When not farming, players can explore the Miasma to fight dangerous monsters. They can also acquire new spells, which in turn expand the farm’s possibilities.

Fans of Stardew Valley and life simulators who are interested in the unique premise of Homestead Arcana can check out the game from April 21. That’s when it will be available as the first daily game on Xbox Game Pass. The announcement was made alongside a new trailer that gave fans another glimpse into the gameplay of Homestead Arcana and what to expect from the game when it launches later this month.

Game Pass subscribers already knew that Homestead Arcana was targeting an April 2023 release, but now they can mark the official date on their calendars. Even if this game doesn’t appeal to some, others will arrive in the second half of April 2023. At least two other day-one games are coming to the service simultaneously as Homestead Arcana. Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly will be released on April 20, and The Last Case of Benedict Fox, a metroidvania, will be released on April 27.

A few new Xbox Game Pass additions are also expected in the near future, with Iron Brigade coming to Xbox Game Pass today, April 6, and Ghostwire: Tokyo coming April 12.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can expect NHL 23 on April 13. Finally, Minecraft Legends will arrive on the service on April 18 as another first-day release. If fresh releases like Minecraft Legends and Homestead Arcana live up to expectations, April 2023 will be a month to remember for subscribers.
