Company Of Heroes 3 Console Edition: We Learned Its Release Date!

Compared to the PC version, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions will arrive a few months later, but if the console adaptation isn’t in substandard condition, it might be worth the wait.

Relic Entertainment’s game was already released by SEGA on PC (Steam) on February 23, with Denuvo of course, because the Japanese publisher is quite fond of the performance-killing and game-preserving-blocking technology. SEGA has announced that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series will get the first console adaptation of the franchise in just over three months, on May 30.

SEGA says, “For the first time, Relic Entertainment is bringing its universally lauded Company of Heroes franchise to console players, offering fans worldwide the most profound strategic experience yet. Console players can expect a custom UI, full controller support, and unique features that allow them to play at their own pace. Furthermore, the user interface has been adapted for gamepads to ensure a fun and immersive experience.

New features like Full Tactical Pause offer gamepad players tactical control over the pacing on the battlefield. By freezing the action, players who employ Full Tactical Pause can coordinate all their activities simultaneously, thinking through every move in detail without the pressure of doing it all in real-time. Company of Heroes’ renowned boots-on-the-ground storytelling will bring players to a brand-new theatre of war, unlocking authentic new tactics, four distinct factions, and a wealth of untold stories from World War II. In single-player modes, the turn-based Italian Dynamic Campaign offers a sandbox-style gameplay experience with new levels of strategic choice. In contrast, the sweeping deserts of North Africa allow for a classic, narrative-led single-player experience. Company of Heroes 3 has a vast online multiplayer and co-op vs. AI offer for players that enjoy their competitive action, with more factions, mechanics, and units than ever.”

Pre-orders will be available on the Microsoft Store and PlayStation Store from April 25, or you can also get your hands on the physical edition on the game’s website. Pre-ordering, in this case, varies by region. But as previously mentioned, the release date is May 30 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
