FUBAR: Arnold Schwarzenegger Returns to the CIA in a New Netflix Series

MOVIE NEWS – The 75-year-old acting legend, Arnold Schwarzenegger, stars in his first live-action scripted television series, playing a retiring secret agent who discovers that his daughter is also working for the CIA. FUBAR is an action-comedy series inspired by his classic movie True Lies.

 

FUBAR premieres on Netflix on May 25 and consists of eight episodes. The series features Arnold Schwarzenegger alongside Monica Barbaro (Top Gun: Maverick), Jay Baruchel (How to Train Your Dragon), Aparna Brielle (A.P. Bio), Andy Buckley (The Office), Fortune Feimster (The Mindy Project), Barbara Eve Harris (The Amazing Spider-Man), Gabriel Luna (Terminator: Dark Fate), Fabian Udenio (Austin Powers) and Travis Van Winkle (Transformers).

The series follows Luke Brunner (Schwarzenegger) as he completes his final mission for the CIA, only to find out that his daughter Emma (Barbaro) is also a secret agent. Father and daughter have to team up for a joint assignment, while trying to get to know each other and resolve their family issues. FUBAR is a series full of action-packed and humorous scenes, showing the universal family dynamics against a global backdrop.

FUBAR was created by Nick Santora (The Sopranos, Law & Order), who also serves as an executive producer on the series along with Schwarzenegger. The other executive producers are Scott Sullivan, Adam Higgs, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Bill Boost, Holly Dale and Phil Abraham.
