Stranger Things Is Ending? The Strike Has Stopped the Final Season’s Shooting!

MOVIE NEWS – The filming of one of Netflix’s most watched series, Stranger Things, has stopped due to a strike by the Hollywood Writers Guild (WGA). The Duffer brothers, the series’ creators and showrunners, announced on Twitter that they would not continue without the writers. So fans will have to wait even longer to find out how Stranger Things’s 5th and final season ends.

Season 5 of Stranger Things will be the final part of the series, in which all secrets will be revealed. What happened to Eleven after she lost her powers? How can they stop Vecna, the number one test subject who opened a huge gate between the Underworld and reality? Why did Hopper disappear? And what about the other kids and adults trying to save Hawkins and the world?

The series’ fourth season arrived on Netflix three years after the previous one and was divided into two parts. The first part debuted in May 2022, while the second part was uploaded to the streaming service in December 2022. At the end of the fourth season, we saw that Vecna realized his old dream and created a new world for himself and his followers, in which the creatures of the Underworld roam free in Hawkins.

The Duffer brothers took to Twitter to share the news that filming was halted due to the WGA strike. The members of the association started the work stoppage on May 1 to demand better conditions for working on the new media platforms. As a result of the strike, the production of several other series and films has been delayed or suspended.

The Duffer brothers wrote that they respect the writers’ decision and do not want to continue filming without them. They also added that they were confident that the conflict would soon be resolved and that they would be able to return to Hawkins.

Stranger Things season 5 premiere is not yet known. The show’s creators plan to make shorter episodes for the final season than for the fourth. This means fans will have to wait even longer to find out how one of Netflix’s most popular series ends.
