AI Jesus Descends From The Heavens To Answer The Big Questions Of Life (And Games)!

TECH NEWS – Twitch users can now ask for divine revelation from an “AI Jesus” who will answer any question, no matter how random.

Ask_jesus is the AI version of Jesus Christ, to whom viewers can ask questions via the stream chat feature. The AI Jesus then answers the questions. He even moves his mouth to match the words spoken, which is kind of spooky.

Will viewers use this AI to seek knowledge, wisdom and answers to life’s big questions? Well, so far, it seems not. Mostly they’re asking about Fortnite and anime, the digital incarnation of the Christian Son of God. Fortunately, artificial intelligence is a good guy: it tends to answer most of the questions it is asked. Sometimes it refuses to answer some of the more salacious questions, probably to comply with Twitch’s terms of use and not upset more innocent viewers.

One question was about Jesus’ thoughts on the hit battle-royale game Fortnite.

The AI Jesus said he doesn’t play video games but enjoys how much people enjoy them, which is a fair and diplomatic answer.

Of course, many questions revolved around popular anime. One of the questions was what AI thought of Neon Genesis Evangelion, one of the darkest animations of all time. Another asked if the Son of God could defeat Dragon Ball Z’s character Goku.

In addition to the fun stuff, many asked real questions of the AI about actual life events and ideologies. For example, on gender equality, terrorism and other topics, and they usually got serious answers.

Of course, AI Jesus is not the first or only AI-generated stream on the platform. There are others, different characters and series characters. SpongeBob SquarePants, Star Trek and Steamed Hams are just a few examples. As the technology continues to improve and develop, there are likely to be many more on the horizon. Until then, you can find out all about the project from its developers, The Singularity Group, at the link below.
