We’ve got a long list of games coming to PS Plus, including classics as well as day-one releases.

 

 

Sony has revealed the PS Plus Extra and Premium games for June 2023. Far Cry 6 is likely to be the biggest hit. And one of the big new releases is Rogue Legacy 2. The game has previously been released for PC, Switch and Xbox, but Rogue Legacy 2 will first join the PS4 and PS5 family on June 20 as part of PlayStation Plus. So it will technically be a first-day release on the service.

PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can claim Rogue Legacy 2 and a range of other games from June 20. They will then be available for as long as someone has an Extra and Premium subscription or until Sony decides to remove those titles.

For the uninitiated, Rogue Legacy 2 is an action platform game with elements of roguelike and Metroidvania: when players die, they start a new run, choosing a descendant with random traits, classes and the like.

It could easily be one of the best and most popular roguelike indie games in the space. It’s in the top 20 games of 2022 on Metacritic. And on OpenCritic, it has a critical average of 89. What’s more, this release will include all of the content from Rogue Legacy 2 that will be made available. Including the latest big update: The Swan Song. It contains three new game modes (True Rogue, Thanatophobia and Thana-two-phobia), three new Fabled Weapons and a new Boss encounter.

Of course, Rogue Legacy 2 does not come alone. The latest instalment in Ubisoft’s hugely successful franchise, Far Cry 6, probably needs no introduction to anyone. Alongside it comes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. Then a bunch of solid titles are coming, including Inscryption, Soulstice, Tacoma, Deux Ex: Mankind Divided and Killing Floor 2, among four classic PS Plus Premium titles. All are available on PS4 and PS5.

A WWE 2K23 (PS4) trial will also be available on June 20.

Sony today announced that it is currently testing cloud streaming of PS5 games, a feature that will be offered to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers.
