This Actor Returns as Batman in The Flash Movie – And No One Knew About It

MOVIE NEWS – The Flash movie had one of the biggest surprises of the year when an old familiar face played Bruce Wayne at the end of the film. The actor had previously distanced himself from the Batman role, which he last played 25 years ago. But now he secretly returned to the DC universe and shocked the audience.

The Flash movie stars Barry Allen (Ezra Miller), who can travel through time and change the past. In the movie, he visits several parallel worlds where he meets different Batmen. One of them is Michael Keaton, who wore the bat suit again after 30 years. At the beginning of the movie, Ben Affleck’s Batman helps Barry, but after the timelines get mixed up, Affleck is replaced by another actor who steps out of Bruce Wayne’s car.

The actor is none other than George Clooney, who played Batman in 1997’s Batman and Robin. The movie is considered one of the worst superhero movies ever, and Clooney himself apologized for it several times. The actor said he never wanted to be Batman again, and it was painful for him to watch his own performance. But now he decided to return to the role, but only for a one-time occasion.

Clooney’s return was not planned for years. In fact, it was decided only a few weeks before the movie’s release that they would try to convince the actor to come back to the role. The filmmakers secretly showed him the movie, and Clooney agreed to the cameo. In January, they shot the scene with Miller in half a day, and no one told anyone about it. The studio was so confident in the new ending that they didn’t even test it with audiences.

The Flash movie not only shocked the audience with Clooney’s return, but also changed the future of the DC universe. After the movie, Affleck will no longer be the DCEU’s Batman, but Clooney will. This means that Clooney will continue the role in other movies, or it was just a one-time thing for him? And what will happen to Keaton, who is supposed to get his own Batman movie? These questions may only be answered by the next DC movies.

But Clooney was not the only surprise in The Flash movie. The original ending of the movie would have shown Henry Cavill’s Superman and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman along with Keaton’s Batman and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl. This would have indicated that Barry did not fully restore the timeline as he expected. However, the studio decided to replace this ending with Clooney’s cameo, because they thought it would have a much bigger impact on the viewers.

The Flash movie was not only an exciting time-travel adventure, but also opened a new chapter for the DC universe. After the movie, we don’t know what changes Barry caused in time, and what superheroes will be in the future. Maybe the next DC movies, like Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom or Superman: Legacy will show us what awaits us.
