Tom Cruise Risked His Life for a Motorbike Stunt – on the First Day of Mission: Impossible 7 Shooting!

MOVIE NEWS – The star of the Mission: Impossible movies, Tom Cruise does not shy away from any dangerous scenes, even if they could cost him his life. On the first day of shooting the latest installment, he performed a motorbike stunt that no one has ever done before.

One of the most spectacular scenes of Mission: Impossible 7 will be a motorbike jump, which was filmed on a cliffside in Norway. Tom Cruise jumped off the cliff with a special motorbike and then landed with a parachute. The scene was captured by several cameras, and the director, Christopher McQuarrie said that this was the hardest and most dangerous stunt they ever did.

McQuarrie revealed that Cruise had been planning this scene for a long time, and practiced a lot for it. Before the shooting, he did more than 500 jumps at an airport, to master the technique perfectly. The director also disclosed that they filmed the scene on the first day of shooting, because if anything happened to Cruise, at least they already had the most important part of the movie.

In Mission: Impossible 7, Cruise will be joined by actors from the previous installments, such as Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby and Henry Czerny. New faces include Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham and Esai Morales. The movie was originally scheduled to hit theaters in November 2021 but was postponed several times due to the coronavirus pandemic. The current release date is set for May 2022.
