Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged Teams Up With Fast & Furious [VIDEO]

Milestone’s game will collaborate with the franchise known for its high-octane racing.

The Italian studio has announced that the second installment of Hot Wheels Unleashed will feature die-cast cars inspired by the Fast and Furious movie series, courtesy of Universal Games and Digital Platforms. On launch day, the game will feature the unstoppable Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody driven by Dominic Toretto, with additional vehicles from the iconic series coming as post-launch paid DLC. The cars appearing in the game were first hinted at earlier this year in Universal Pictures’ Fast X when Dominic Toretto’s son Brian and sister Mia played with Hot Wheels Unleashed. Thanks to Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, some of the movie franchise’s bombastic stunts can be performed with the die-cast cars.

Mattel global head of digital gaming, Mike DeLaet, said in a press release, “We’re delighted to bring these two iconic racing franchises even closer together in Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, building on years of collaboration with our wonderful partners at Universal Games and Digital Platforms. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more natural pairing than Hot Wheels and Fast & Furious, and the team at Milestone has done an outstanding job bringing these fan-favorite vehicles to life in authentic Hot Wheels Unleashed fashion.”

Milestone publishing director Andrea Loiudice added, “We are proud and excited to collaborate with Universal Games and Digital Platforms to bring the legendary Fast & Furious franchise to the virtual tracks of Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged. This partnership will fuel players’ adrenaline worldwide, unleashing their imagination behind the wheel of their favorite Fast & Furious vehicles.
