James Gunn’s Shocking Reaction: Adult Film Star as Lex Luthor in New Superman Movie?!

MOVIE NEWS – The internet has gone wild: Johnny Sins, the renowned adult film star, as Lex Luthor in Superman: Legacy? James Gunn, the creative genius behind the movie, seems visibly shocked by the rumor.

The DC Universe continues to expand, and fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Superman: Legacy in 2025. This new installment promises to introduce a younger, fresher Superman. While many characters and their respective actors are already known, the casting for Lex Luthor remains a mystery. Now, an unexpected rumor has surfaced: Could Johnny Sins, an icon of the adult entertainment industry, be the next Lex Luthor?

This gossip is traced back by some to the website Les Cinéphiles, but film portal Koimoi also reported the news, only to later retract their statement. Naturally, Gunn caught wind of the story and exclaimed, “You can’t be serious!” He simply commented on the Koimoi article with: “This is unbelievable!” A fan humorously remarked, “Why not a ‘Sex Luthor’?” Johnny Sins responded to the buzz with a straightforward: “Why not?”

Johnny Sins, born Steven Wolfe in 1978, has been in the adult film industry for over a decade. Online speculations suggest that his bald appearance could make him the perfect Lex Luthor. However, the same could be said about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jason Statham, or Vin Diesel. Another source hinted that Nicholas Hoult was also being considered for the villainous role.

However, rumors remain rumors: Johnny Sins will not be playing Lex Luthor in Superman: Legacy, set to premiere on July 11, 2025. The film boasts names like David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, among many others. Gunn assures that the movie will be more than just a “young Superman adventure”, and the VFX artist for Legacy has praised the screenplay as well.
