Star Wars: Outlaws: Another Game May Have Taken Some Of Its Momentum

Another game in the franchise has already done what Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment (The Division) had planned.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has great Souls clone-style combat, fair level design, a good story, complex characters, and good visuals, but it performed poorly at launch due to technical issues. It was a great sequel to Star Wars Jed: Fallen Order, but Respawn Entertainment’s game set the bar pretty high for the Ubisoft/Massive duo.

Though we saw some things in the June showcase that suggest Star Wars: Outlaws could be promising with its open-world formula, while building up to a larger adventure in which the entire galaxy can be explored. However, this will lead to comparisons with the Star Wars Jedi duo, even though Outlaws will have enough uniqueness. The French publisher’s game is set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi and stars Kay Vess. The smuggler wants to gain a foothold in an Empire-ruled galaxy, but not all large areas are strong enough for the underworld to crack open. So it’s no wonder that Star Wars: Outlaws will feature a lot of criminals, so cameos are almost guaranteed.

In the case of Jabba, it’s safe to say that he will appear in the game developed by Massive, but the bounty hunters deserve more attention (Bossk, IG-88, Dengar, 4-LOM, Zuckuss), including Boba Fett, but Respawn has already done that! Although he only has a few lines of dialogue in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, his presence is absolutely rewarding for the player after a long side mission, as it can be considered a memorable moment.

So that ship has already sailed for Star Wars: Outlaws, but we’ve mentioned several bounty hunters that could be a big treat for fans who will be able to play the game sometime in 2024 (fall?) on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.
