Microsoft is celebrating the arrival of a new Xbox Game Pass day-one title with an achievement contest with a prize of a full-time paying job!

 

 

The prize for a newly launched Xbox contest is a paid full-time job. The latter is awarded to someone skilled enough to unlock a particular achievement in Football Manager 2024.

The tender aims to promote the Xbox Game Pass game Football Manager 2024, which was recently released as a first-day title.

Like its parent company, Sega subsidiary Sports Interactive has been one of the most consistent supporters of Xbox Game Pass since the platform’s inception. After all, since FM19, all their games are available on Microsoft’s subscription service. It has been known since September that his latest title will continue this trend. Football Manager 2024 was then confirmed as a first-day release on Game Pass.

As promised, the sports simulator was added to Microsoft’s subscription library on November 6. Sports Interactive, Sega and Xbox are now trying to promote it with a unique competition called The Everyday Tactician. In a nutshell, the competition allows UK-based players to get a football placement at Bromley FC.

This base team of the Vanarama National League – the fifth division of English football – will use the application to hire its next fan performance tactician.

There are two conditions for participating in the competition. The first is unlocking the “Champions” achievement when you win any English league in Football Manager 2024 on a PC or Xbox console. The cheapest way to do this is to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass. Then, you play FM24 via Microsoft’s subscription service. Participants must log into the game with their Gamertag to verify completion of the step. Once this is done, contestants must submit a one-minute video explaining why they deserve the role on offer. Both steps must be completed by December 4.

The position offered by Bromley FC is full-time, fixed-term, with an hourly wage of £13.15 (~$16.50). As a support performance tactician, the tender winner will assist in assessing Bromley’s first team five days a week by preparing performance analysis reports for both the team and the players. Employment is planned to last from January 2 to May 2024. It thus covers the second half of the 2023/24 football season.

The idea behind the competition is to give fans the chance to gain real-world experience that could help them get a permanent job in football.

Microsoft’s gaming competitions have been getting increasingly creative lately regarding entry rules and prizes. Another example of this trend appeared on the Internet back in October. Then, the company raffled off a unique non-working Diablo 4 Xbox Series X console paired with a working one.
