A Grand Theft Auto VI Leak Days Before The Trailer [VIDEO]

We recap what came out of Grand Theft Auto VI over the weekend.

Last year, an early build of Rockstar’s next game was leaked. As a result, many videos of the unfinished GTA VI hit the Internet. These videos showed the environment of Vice City and two main characters. Jason Schreier, writing for Bloomberg, said the leaks were legitimate, but they were from an early, unfinished game, and he saw what could be one of the biggest leaks in gaming for Rockstar Games (the Half-Life 2 situation was pretty big two decades ago…).

Below, we’ve embedded a six-second clip taken with a camera. The footage has also surfaced on TikTok, showing Vice City’s skyscrapers alongside some of the environment, and the footage is also consistent with what we saw in last year’s leaks. The only thing that really stands out is WHO the video is from: a friend of Aaron Garbut’s son. Garbut is the co-CEO and head of development at Rockstar North. So we’re almost talking about an internal leak.

There are more leaks. Garbut is said to be Rockstar’s art director… but beyond that, the area will be twice the size of Los Santos as seen in Grand Theft Auto V. There will be three major cities and four small towns, and a large lake in the middle of the map. The leaker’s TikTok account has been deleted along with the videos. You can enter 70% of the buildings, and there is also a release date: the game is supposed to be released in the fall of 2024.

This seems to be true, as Take-Two expects significant financial growth in the next fiscal year (April 2024-March 2025), and as soon as Take-Two and Rockstar release the trailer on December 5, pre-orders will start. Given the concept, it is unlikely that the game will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Grand Theft Auto VI will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox series first, Take-Two knows, and we can only expect a PC port later. The video will be released on December 5.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
