Halo TV Show Star Reveals What He Thinks Was The Series’ Biggest Failure!

MOVIE NEWS – The Halo TV series made a “huge mistake” by having Master Chief have sex with Makee, says the star.

Master Chief has had a romantic history and even started a sexual relationship in the first season of the Halo TV series. It was a “huge mistake,” according to Master Chief actor Pablo Schreiber. In the latest issue of SFX Magazine, he said that the relationship between Master Chief and Makee (Charlie Murphy) was a bad idea, which he unsuccessfully fought to prevent.

“The decision to make the connection between Makee and John a romantic connection was a huge mistake,” Schreiber said (via GamesRadar). “I felt it was a huge mistake at the time and I argued against it and fought against it. But I am who I am. I don’t write the scripts. I only give my opinion. It wasn’t listened to.”

A lot of Halo viewers didn’t like this storyline either, and the sex scene really annoyed some, especially since Cortana herself was standing there watching.

The Halo TV series will return for a second season in February. Joseph Morgan (The Originals) and Cristina Rodlo (Too Old to Die Young) are joining the cast for the second season. They play the roles of James Ackerson and Talia Perez, respectively.

The Season 2 showrunner is David Wiener (Flesh and Bone, Fear the Walking Dead), who took over from season 1 co-showrunners Kyle Killen and Stephen Kane.

Season 1 of Halo reportedly cost $10 million per episode. Thus, it is one of the most expensive TV series ever made. A budget of this level puts the show close to Game of Thrones.

The returning cast includes Schreiber, Natascha McElhone, Jen Taylor, Bokeem Woodbine, Kate Kennedy, Murphy and more. If you’re new to the Halo TV series, every episode of the first season can be streamed for free on YouTube.
