Nobody Wants To Die: Stunning Unreal 5 Visuals in a Noir New York of the XXIV Century! [VIDEO]

The graphics of this upcoming Unreal 5 adventure are amazing! And the genre? It’s a detective noir adventure, which doesn’t say much on its own, but when set in a futuristic setting, it puts a twist on the concept.

Lose yourself in the world of New York, 2329, where immortality comes with a price that someone has to pay. After a near-death experience, Detective James Karra takes on an off-the-books case from his boss with only the help of a young police liaison, Sara Kai. Time reveals all as they risk everything in pursuit of a killer, uncovering the dark secrets of the city’s elite. Experience a noir adventure in an alternate future of New York City in 2329; technology has advanced to offer humans eternal life, allowing consciousness to be stored in memory banks or transferred from one body to another if you can afford the subscription.

See through the eyes of Mortality Department Detective James Karra as he hunts down a serial killer targeting the city’s elite. Investigate crime scenes using his time manipulation augmentation and advanced technology to reconstruct the events leading up to each murder and uncover clues that lead to the terrifying truth behind the murders. Immerse yourself in a dystopian future through this powerful and original interactive mystery that explores the dangers of transhumanism and immortality. In a world of eternal life and disappearing morality, you, a hardened detective, must navigate the boundaries of right and wrong in a society where death is a distant memory. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the game pushes the boundaries of storytelling by combining photorealistic graphics with a unique narrative experience.

Nobody Wants to Die is being developed by Critical Hit Games, a studio based in Wroclaw, Poland, and will be published by Plaion, part of the Embracer Group. The game will be released later this year for PlayStation 5, Xbox and PC (Steam). Not many games have explored the theme of transhumanism with much success (one of the endings of Deus Ex: Invisible War does), so the developers have chosen a risky theme.
