[SOP 2025] Days Gone Remastered: New Adventures Await for Deacon St. John! [VIDEO]

A somewhat unusual move by Sony to remaster a game that wasn’t blockbuster enough to get a sequel…

Days Gone Remastered is brought to life on PlayStation 5 with improved graphical fidelity, increased foliage draw distance, improved shadow and lighting quality, Tempest 3D audio, VRR support and more. Choose your preferred gaming experience between Quality Mode for increased resolution or Performance Mode for improved frame rates. And with the added power of PlayStation 5 Pro, Days Gone has never looked better on PlayStation! Feel the intensity of Days Gone with full use of DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Ride the Broken Road and feel the rumble of your bike’s engine or the wheels gripping the dirt roads in the palm of your hand. Immerse yourself in the unique Pacific Northwest environment with weather haptics including rain and thunder. Get to grips with the distinct feel and durability of the various weapons in Deacon’s arsenal as you fight your way through hordes of Freakers.

Accessibility is important to Bend Studio. Days Gone Remastered gave them the opportunity to expand our suite of accessibility features to allow even more players to enjoy our world. To highlight just a few of these new settings, Days Gone Remastered includes High Contrast Mode, Game Speed, UI Narration, Collectible Audio Cues, Controller Remapping, Field of View Slider, and more.

Experience a whole new way to play Days Gone! Horde Assault features fresh and unexpected gameplay designed to challenge your skills as you attempt to earn a high score while surviving as long as possible against increased Horde sizes and a variety of other enemies, such as vicious Survivors and evolved Freakers. Travel through familiar regions from the story, including Cascade, Belknap, Lost Lake, and Crater Lake. Fight your way through a brutal, ever-changing landscape where enemies escalate in difficulty the longer you survive. Level up to earn in-mode rewards with never-before-seen characters, new patch cosmetics, and unique injectors that greatly impact your gameplay experience.

In a world where everything is out to kill you, your skills will be tested to the limit and mastery is required to survive the permadeath mode. If you meet an unfortunate end, you must return to the beginning of the game or the beginning of the second act and try your luck again, depending on which setting you choose. Achieve this great feat and you will be rewarded with a special graphic that records the time it took you to complete the game, unique stats like how many Freakers you killed during your playthrough, and more. Of course, you’ll also receive a shiny new PlayStation Trophy. Days Gone Remastered will have a new trophy pack for you to unlock, specifically for the new game modes! At launch, Days Gone Remastered will feature a new game mode – strap on your nitrous and race against the clock in the all-new Speedrun mode. Photo Mode becomes Enhanced Photo Mode. Take out your virtual camera once again with additions like time of day setting, a three-point lighting system, and new logo options.

Days Gone Remastered will be available digitally only. If you own the base game on PlayStation 4, you can upgrade for $10. If you don’t have the base game, the price will be $50. If you have the disc, you will need to leave it in your PlayStation 5 at all times. You cannot upgrade a game purchased through PlayStation Plus to the remastered version. Pre-orderers will also receive eight new PlayStation Network avatars and five early game items (Monkey Wrench Ability, Nitro 1 Update, Shroud 1 Update, Gas Tank 1 Update, Drifter Crossbow). On PC, you can buy the Broken Road DLC for $10 and get the new additions (Horde Assault mode, Permadeath mode, Speedrun mode, DualSense support, new light handling features, improved photo mode).

Days Gone Remastered will be available for PlayStation 5 and PC on April 25th.
