It only takes five seconds of this medieval fantasy RPG trailer to hear a familiar tune. After two years in development, Yes, Your Grace: Snowfall is finally set to launch, and it’s bringing back the composer behind The Witcher 3.
Bit by bit, games that have been in limbo for years are finally announcing their release dates. One such case is Yes, Your Grace: Snowfall, a medieval RPG that was unveiled two years ago. Now, after much hype and high expectations, it’s locked in a release date. Even better, the reveal came through a spine-tingling 33-second trailer, featuring a musical score any The Witcher 3 fan would instantly recognize. That’s because the music was composed by none other than Percival Schuttenbach, the iconic artist behind much of The Witcher 3’s music and its expansions.
After a lengthy development cycle and with the original enjoying an 87% positive rating on Steam, developer Brave at Night has confirmed that Yes, Your Grace: Snowfall will be launching on May 8 for PC via Steam. Console players on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch will have to wait until 2025. As of now, there’s no word on a PS5 version.
Yes, Your Grace: Snowfall Brings Political Drama to a Whole New Level
Like the first game, players take on the role of a medieval monarch faced with impossible decisions, limited resources, and a long line of subjects begging for help. But this time around, everything’s more cinematic, more emotional, and set in a world heavily inspired by Slavic mythology and folklore.
A standout feature is the new agent system: these are unique characters with distinct personalities and abilities who help the king manage crises, while occasionally dragging their personal baggage into the court. It’s up to the player to decide who to trust, who to send on missions, and how best to juggle diplomacy, warfare, and the kingdom’s overall well-being.
In addition to political intrigue, the game places strong emphasis on family life within the castle. Raising the royal children and attending to their emotional needs will have a significant impact on how the narrative unfolds, lending a personal and human angle to the game’s complex decision-making. With rich storytelling, detailed visuals, and a score by Percival Schuttenbach, who, alongside Marcin Przybyłowicz, scored The Witcher 3—Yes, Your Grace: Snowfall is shaping up to be one of the most promising RPG-management hybrids of the year.
