Assassin’s Creed Model Francisco Randez Accused of Domestic Violence – Géraldine Lamarche Comes Forward With Her Story

Francisco Randez, the Canadian actor and television host known for being the face model of Altair, Desmond, and Ezio in the early Assassin’s Creed games, was accused of domestic violence in 2024. The victim, Québec TV presenter Géraldine Lamarche, broke her silence in April 2025 with a public statement that shocked Canadian media.

Francisco Randez is best known to gamers as the face of the most iconic characters in Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise. His likeness was used to model Altair ibn-La’Ahad, Desmond Miles, and Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Beyond gaming, Randez made a name for himself as a successful fashion model, working with brands such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Benetton. On television, he appeared in popular Québec programs like Sucré Salé and Salut Bonjour. He has also participated in public campaigns and served as a cultural ambassador. For years, Randez was seen as a versatile and respected media figure in Québec until his reputation was tarnished by serious allegations.

Géraldine Lamarche is a familiar face in Québec’s media landscape, best known for presenting the weather segment on TVA’s Salut Bonjour morning show. Her calm and professional presence made her a trusted personality. However, in a lengthy social media post in April 2025, she revealed disturbing details about her past relationship and named Randez as the abuser. Her disclosure received widespread support from the public and media figures alike.

What happened between them?

The couple’s relationship ended in 2023. According to Lamarche’s testimony, the final months were marked by behavior that made her fear for her personal safety. After filing a complaint, charges were brought against Randez in May 2024. When he appeared before the court in October, he did not plead guilty but agreed to sign what’s known in Canadian law as a “Section 810 peace bond.”

This legal mechanism allows a person to commit to certain conditions—typically to stay away from the complainant—without admitting guilt in a criminal trial. The court accepted this bond, and the matter was formally closed without proceeding to a full trial.

What did Lamarche say?

In her public letter, Géraldine Lamarche described her experience and the impact it had on her mental and physical well-being:

“The accused admitted before the Crown that he committed acts that made me fear for my life.”

“He is now forbidden to contact or approach me for one year—no physical contact, no electronic messaging, no indirect communication. The actions he admitted to gave me reasonable grounds to fear for my life.”

“I chose this path for the sake of my own peace. For a long time, I remained silent, afraid, and ashamed. Now I want to reclaim control over my own story.”

What’s the outcome of the case?

Although no criminal conviction was recorded and there was no trial, Randez acknowledged certain behaviors that justified Lamarche’s fears. While this is not legally a confession of guilt, it carries legal weight and resulted in a court-sanctioned peace bond. Several Canadian media outlets, including La Presse, Monde de Stars, Noovo, and 7 Jours, covered the case in detail.

Randez has not issued any public statement since the case concluded. Lamarche’s decision to speak out was framed as an act of empowerment and solidarity with other victims of abuse. Her words sparked discussions about domestic violence, especially among public figures, and shed light on a deeply personal story that she had long kept hidden.
