TECH NEWS – The latest driver for the new graphics cards from the “greens” is a huge performance boost, so you might want to install the 576.02 driver.

Nvidia’s 576.02 graphics driver has obviously done more than just fix bugs and other critical issues. Since the release of Nvidia’s 572 driver, several GeForce RTX cards have been plagued with various bugs, but version 576.02 has reportedly not only fixed most of them, but also managed to deliver a significant performance boost. And that was an issue before, and not a small one.

We’re hearing that RTX 5000 cards, the latest Blackwell architecture GPUs, have benefited tremendously from the 576.02 driver. Even from a power efficiency perspective, we are happy to report that idle power consumption has been significantly reduced. In previous GPU driver versions, the RTX 5070 was running at around 180MHz, but with 576.02, the clock speed has dropped to just 22MHz. The RTX 5060 Ti has also seen a huge improvement in idle, with power consumption dropping to just 7 W.

And the RTX 5080 has seen a significant performance boost, with one user scoring 9215 on the new driver in 3DMark Steel Nomad, compared to 8832 before. That’s an increase of 4.3%. And another player scored 9033 compared to 8400 with the previous driver, a 7.5% increase in performance. The improvement can also be seen in games. Previously, Marvel Rivals on an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D was running at 140+ FPS, now it’s up to 150, an improvement of 5-7%. Gamers using RTX 4000 cards on Reddit reported a 3-4% improvement.

So what Nvidia had before was certainly some issues with bad drivers here and there, but after installing the 576.02 driver, higher VRAM clock speeds can be achieved, which has given a boost to performance. So we really got what we expected before: the driver delivered good performance and stability.
