A Fan Accidentally Stepped on Tom Cruise’s Foot – His Reaction Surprised Everyone

MOVIE NEWS – The Hollywood icon was met with wild enthusiasm in Seoul – and responded gallantly to an awkward moment

Tom Cruise enjoys a massive fanbase in Asia, so it’s no wonder he kicked off the promotional tour for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning in Japan and South Korea. In Seoul, he met fans face-to-face, with crowds so excited they were practically trampling one another for a chance to get an autograph or shake his hand. Amid the chaos, Cruise became a victim of the commotion—when a young girl accidentally stepped on his foot. Embarrassed, she apologized, but Cruise simply smiled and said: “No need to apologize! The honor is mine! You really don’t have to say sorry.” The girl laughed nervously and thanked him for his kind response.

This was Cruise’s twelfth official visit to South Korea, and as he noted, it feels like a second home to him. His first appearance was in 1994 during the Asian premiere of Interview with the Vampire, and since then, he has made a point of promoting each of his major films there. Just two years ago, he energized the red carpet at the premiere of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. Cruise is so adored in Korea that fans affectionately call him ajeossi—a respectful term for older men held in high regard.

For the Korean premiere of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, director Christopher McQuarrie joined Cruise and fellow cast members Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Pom Klementieff, and Greg Tarzan Davis.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning is set to release in Hungary on May 22, 2025.
