Tim Roth Leads ‘Seven Snipers’ in New Action Thriller

MOVIE NEWS – Tim Roth, known for his roles in Pulp Fiction and the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s The Incredible Hulk, stars in a new action thriller inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s classic Seven Samurai. In Seven Snipers, Roth plays a retired sniper who must reunite his former team to protect his daughter from a vengeful warlord.

Directed by Sandra Sciberras (The Dustwalker) and written by Andrew O’Keefe, Seven Snipers is produced by Monster Pictures and Head Gear Films, with Capture handling sales. The film has already been sold in several international markets, including Germany, Spain, and South Korea, as well as to various airlines. However, it has yet to secure distribution in the U.S. and U.K.

The story follows a retired sniper living on an Australian ranch who must reunite his former team to protect his daughter from a vengeful warlord. First-look images show Roth in a ghillie suit aiming through a sniper rifle. The film also stars Radha Mitchell (Olympus Has Fallen), Ryan Kwanten (True Blood), and Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic Four).

Is Tim Roth Returning to the MCU?

Tim Roth debuted in the MCU in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk as Emil Blonsky, aka The Abomination. While parts of that film were later overlooked, Roth’s character remained part of the universe. He recently appeared in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and the series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Although The Abomination’s future in the MCU is uncertain, fans hope to see Roth return in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.

Outside the MCU, Roth has been a longtime collaborator with Quentin Tarantino, appearing in films like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and The Hateful Eight. He is expected to feature in Tarantino’s next, currently untitled film, though details about the project remain scarce.
