One game has already been released on the Microsoft Store for Xbox Series and PC, and another will soon be available on Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2.
The latest mainline numbered title in the Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy XVI, launches today on Xbox Series and on the Microsoft Store on PC as the Final Fantasy XVI Complete Edition. This edition includes the downloadable content chapters “Echoes of the Fallen” and “The Rising Tide” at a discounted price. It is also available as a standalone base game, downloadable content chapters, or the Final Fantasy XVI Expansion Pass. Final Fantasy XVI supports Xbox Play Anywhere, which allows for full cross-entitlement and cross-save across console, PC, and cloud. This feature gives players the option of how they want to jump into the game’s frenetic battles and larger-than-life Eikon clashes as they play as Clive on his quest for revenge.
Purchasing either edition gets you the following in-game items: Blood Sword, Braveheart Sword, Brave Blade, Cait Sith’s Charm, and Sixteen Bells Orchestrion. The adrenaline-filled Final Fantasy XVI demo is currently available for free download on Xbox Series, and save data carries over to the full game. Experience the beginning of Clive’s epic tale and learn about his ambitions and goals by downloading the demo.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is an expanded version of the first installment of the Final Fantasy VII remake project. It includes an additional story arc that occurs during the events of the game. Players will relive the first act of the iconic 1997 game as Cloud Strife, a legendary hero who meets unforgettable allies and explores the dystopian city of Midgar. Culminating in a dramatic escape, this pivotal chapter sets the stage for one of the most legendary stories in gaming. With over seven million copies shipped and sold digitally worldwide on PlayStation and PC, this release marks the project’s debut on Xbox, giving a new audience a chance to experience the 2020 Game of the Year for the first time.
Final Fantasy XVI has already been released for the Xbox Series for $50, and Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will arrive sometime this winter and will also be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 (previously announced).
