Guy Ritchie’s Crime Thriller Is Back for More: Tom Hardy’s MobLand Renewed After Record Success!

MOVIE NEWS – Fans can finally rest easy: Guy Ritchie’s star-studded crime thriller series MobLand, led by Oscar nominee Tom Hardy, has officially been renewed by Paramount+. The show became an instant hit for the streaming giant, which now confirms Hardy’s compelling fixer will return for another gripping season.

 

Indeed, MobLand has officially secured its second season, announced by Paramount alongside enthusiastic reactions from the creative minds behind the acclaimed crime saga. The series stars Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza, the charismatic fixer working for the notorious Harrigan crime family.

“TV was initially a daunting new territory for me, and I was hesitant at first,” shared writer and executive producer Jez Butterworth. “But Chris, David, and the teams at Paramount and 101 Studios completely changed my perspective with their visionary creativity and razor-sharp strategic approach. MobLand boasts a remarkable cast alongside Hardy, featuring Pierce Brosnan as Conrad Harrigan, the family patriarch, and Helen Mirren as Maeve Harrigan, the matriarch. The rest of the stellar ensemble includes Paddy Considine (Kevin Harrigan), Anson Boon (Eddie Harrigan), Geoff Bell (Richie Stevenson), and Joanne Froggatt (Jan Da Souza, Harry’s wife). Initially intended as a spin-off of Ray Donovan, MobLand evolved into its own phenomenon, attracting over 26 million viewers.

The official synopsis reads: “Two rival crime families clash in a fierce battle for power that threatens to topple empires and shatter lives. Caught in the crossfire is Harry Da Souza, a cunning ‘fixer’ who knows exactly where his loyalties lie when worlds collide.”
