TT Games is bringing LEGO Batman back to the spotlight with LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, launching May 29, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC, with a Switch 2 version coming later. This isn’t just another lighthearted LEGO adventure; it’s a full-scale retelling of Bruce Wayne’s rise, tracing how Gotham’s most famous vigilante becomes a legend, brick by brick.
Publisher Warner Bros. Games and developer TT Games have confirmed that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will release on May 29, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is planned for a later date.
The story follows Bruce Wayne from his earliest days, beginning with his training under the League of Shadows, and charts his transformation into Gotham City’s Dark Knight. Along the way, players will assemble a new family of allies, including Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Jim Gordon, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul, each bringing unique skills and signature gadgets to investigations, challenges, and open-world exploration.
Gotham itself will be under constant threat, as Batman’s iconic Rogues Gallery takes center stage. Players will face off against The Joker, The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Ra’s al Ghul, Bane, and more, all woven into a city packed with secrets, side activities, and familiar landmarks.
The game boasts more than 100 suits and outfits inspired by Batman’s long history across films, television, comics, and games. Over 20 vehicles, including multiple Batmobiles and Batcycles such as the legendary Tumbler, will be available to tear through Gotham’s streets. Players can also customize the Batcave with more than 250 props and trophies earned throughout the adventure.
Pre-orders unlock The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit at launch, while the Deluxe Edition adds new content packs, extra story missions, a Mayhem Mode featuring Joker and Harley Quinn, and 72-hour early access starting May 26. A revamped combat system blends fluid combos, stealth, and detective gameplay, giving players multiple ways to patrol Gotham’s streets and rooftops.
The only real question left is whether you’re ready to build the Dark Knight’s legacy, one LEGO brick at a time.
