The Coalition is undoubtedly one of the most technically proficient Unreal Engine studios. It regularly assists other Xbox teams using Epic’s engine and was among the first to release two Unreal Engine 5 demos: Alpha Point in 2021 and The Cavern in 2022. While the target resolution, frame rate, and graphics settings are unknown, anyone who regularly plays PC games can easily meet these specifications.

The studio revealed that the game will feature borderless, exclusive, and window display modes; an unlimited frame rate on compatible hardware; ultra-wide support (21:9 and 32:9) for gameplay and menus; customizable keyboard and controller button mapping; 4K Ultra HD with HDR10; and hardware-accelerated ray-traced lighting, reflections, and shadows. The game will also be fully optimized for handheld PCs, such as the Steam Deck, the ROG Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally (X).

As we get closer to the release date of October 6 for Xbox Series and PC (excluding the PlayStation 5, as there is plenty of evidence pointing to a last-minute change…), the developers will surely share more detailed information about the PC version, including what hardware will be required to play at 4K and Ultra settings. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.
