GSC Game World has made the return to the Zone even bigger than before, as they’ve released the final system requirements!
Let’s take a look at what we need for the new S.T.A.L.K.E.R:
- Minimum system requirements – 1080p resolution/30 FPS frame rate, low graphics preset:
- Operating system: Windows 10/11 x64 (no version number mentioned)
- Processor: Intel Core i7-7700K/AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
- RAM: 16 GB dual channel (2×8 GB)
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB VRAM)/AMD Radeon RX 580 (8 GB VRAM)/Intel Arc A750
- Free storage: ~160 GB (on SSD!)
Medium system requirements – 1080p resolution/60 FPS frame rate, medium graphics preset:
- Operating system: Windows 10/11 x64 (no version number mentioned)
- Processor: Intel Core i7-9700K/AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
- RAM: 16 GB dual channel (2×8 GB)
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super/Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060/AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
- Free storage: ~160 GB (on SSD!)
Recommended system requirements – 1440p resolution/60 FPS frame rate, high graphics preset:

Epic system requirements – 4K resolution/60+ FPS frame rate, epic graphics preset:
- Operating system: Windows 10/11 x64 (no version number mentioned)
- Processor: Intel Core i7-13700KF/AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
- RAM: 32 GB dual channel (2×16 GB)
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080/AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
- Free storage: ~160 GB (on SSD!)
The game will support Nvidia’s DLSS 3 frame generation technology upon release. In the graphs below, you can see the improvement in frame rate on the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4000 graphics cards, even though they were used in a pretty hefty configuration (Intel Core i9-14900K processor, 64GB DDR5 RAM). The RTX 4090, RTX 4080 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super, RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 were tested at 4K resolution with maximum graphics settings and DLSS, the frame rate was at least doubled. The RTX 4060 Ti was also included in the 1440p test and the RTX 4060 was included in the 1080p test. (The laptop test also included the RTX 4050, but used 32GB of RAM and an i9-13980HX CPU).
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be released on November 20th for Xbox Series and PC, but will also get Game Pass.
