TECH NEWS – Xiaomi will also take part in Berlin’s Innovation For All (IFA) trade show in September, once again reinforcing its long-term commitment to the European market. The Chinese-founded company will invest €4.7 billion in artificial intelligence-related research and development over the next two years, making Europe one of the company’s defining innovation hubs.
Xiaomi will use this exhibition to show European audiences for the first time how its “Human × Car × Home” smart ecosystem works, while several important announcements related to this product range are also scheduled for the Berlin trade show.
“Europe is not simply a market that we visit. It is a region where we listen, learn and build,” said Zeng Hua, PR Director for Western Europe at Xiaomi Group. “Taking part in IFA for the first time is an important step on this journey. We cannot wait to show in September how Xiaomi’s Human × Car × Home smart ecosystem can use AI to become part of people’s everyday lives. We are saving the full story for Berlin, but the conversation starts today.”
Innovation to Strengthen Xiaomi’s European Presence
Europe is a global innovation hub in consumer technology, industrial design, the automotive industry and smart homes, and it plays a key role in Xiaomi’s globalisation strategy. The company estimates that its total R&D investment between 2026 and 2030 will exceed €24 billion, covering artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, robotics, operating systems and core enabling technologies.
Xiaomi is further expanding its European R&D presence, attracting local talent and deepening cooperation with partners across the region. These efforts are aimed at bringing Xiaomi’s products, technologies and ecosystem closer to the needs, habits and expectations of European users.
A Small Preview of What to Expect at IFA 2026
At its first IFA appearance, Xiaomi will offer a broad look at how artificial intelligence can move beyond the screen, become part of real life and make everyday life easier through the connection of personal devices, smart home products and mobility solutions.
Although the company will disclose further details only closer to the event, it has already confirmed that several products integrated into its AI ecosystem will make their global debut at IFA 2026 in Berlin.
By the first quarter of 2026, Xiaomi’s artificial intelligence ecosystem included more than 1.1 billion connected devices worldwide across more than 130 categories, ranging from healthcare and cleaning to entertainment, mobility and home lifestyle.
Xiaomi will publish further details regarding its IFA participation, including exhibition plans, its press programme and key announcements, closer to September.
