UPDATE – Outlast 2’s Demo Is Available On All Three Platforms!

UPDATE: When we wrote the original article yesterday, Red Barrels‘ game’s demo was only available on the PlayStation 4. The situation changed.

You can find the demo n Steam (here), too. The game is out in 2017.

Attention, the demo is available until November 1!

ORIGINAL: We were caught off guard: Red Barrels‘ upcoming game received a demo on PlayStation 4!

On the European PlayStation Store (here), the free demo is already available for download, and it doesn’t take a lot of hard drive space with its 5.1 gigabyte size. The demo was silently teased by a Facebook post from the developers (here), and this time, we will not be in an asylum, but in cornfields.

Quoting the story synopsis from the Store: „You are Blake Langermann, a cameraman working with your wife, Lynn. The two of you are investigative journalists willing to take risks and dig deep to uncover the stories no one else will dare touch. You’re following a trail of clues that started with the seemingly impossible murder of a pregnant woman known only as Jane Doe. The investigation has lead you miles into the Arizona desert, to a darkness so deep that no one could shed light upon it, and a corruption so profound that going mad may be the only sane thing to do.”

The game should be out in 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC – the other two platforms will likely get the demo later this month.
