Judgment: The Remaster Is Now Available; The Sequel Might Be Announced Shortly [VIDEO]

The game by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio (also known as Yakuza Studio) is now on more platforms, but SEGA seems to be preparing for its sequel.

SEGA has published the launch trailer for effectively the remastered version of Judgment that you can find on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Google Stadia. It costs forty dollars, and it contains all the previously released add-ons, including drone components, healing items, and Yagami Detective Agency decorations. The visuals are better than what the PlayStation 4 original had. (And before you ask where the PC version is, we wouldn’t be surprised if Google paid SEGA to give timed exclusivity for the Stadia before the publisher would put the game on Steam…)

Meanwhile, SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have launched a countdown website, which is called Judgment Day. It will likely show an announcement on May 7, at 7 AM Pacific, and it’s possibly going to be about the sequel of Judgment, which was released as Judge Eyes in Japan. The website is available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Korean, and Japanese.

Judgment itself was a spin-off, although its location was the same as the Yakuza games’ (Kamurocho in Tokyo). SEGA probably saw a better-than-expected sales performance for the game, which is why they are preparing the sequel. That was already hinted at in March when SEGA has filed a trademark for Lost Judgment in Japan. It’s not official yet, but it’s easy to tie the two dots together, and we will see the answers in less than two weeks.

Until then, you can experience Takayuki Yagami’s story on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 5, Google Stadia, and PlayStation 4. Two weeks should be enough to beat Judgment.
