The latest content update for Midnight Suns has been available since yesterday for Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
Three-quarters of the post-launch DLC for Marvel’s Midnight Suns is now officially complete, as the living vampire Morbius takes his place in the Abbey today.
Morbius is the third DLC character for Firaxis’ excellent strategy adventure game, bringing the list of playable superheroes to 15, alongside Blade, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider, Hulk, Iron Man, Magik, Nico Minoru, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Venom and Wolverine.
The Morbius DLC release is officially called The Hunger. The character – equipped with 11 unique hero abilities and the Abbey upgrade from the lab – will team up with a team of heroes. They will tackle the vampire menace of New York City through three new missions.
Players can access the first of these story additions after completing the “Spidermaaaans” mission in the base game. Firaxis notes that the DLC also includes three Morbius Hero Skins, seven Abbey Outfits and two swimsuits.
Hunger was released yesterday for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC consoles. It can be purchased separately or as part of the Suns Season Pass for the game (also included in the Legendary Edition). The arrival of Morbius means that one more DLC hero – Storm – is on the way.
The designer of Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Jake Solomon – who left Firaxis in February after 23 years with the company – announced that he is currently seeking funding to create a new studio with the aim of making “a new kind of game”.
