On May 30th, Sony will start the “non-E3” with a presentation, within the framework of the usual State of Play program.
One of the most exciting seasons for video game fans has begun: the summer conferences. PlayStation kicks off the so-called “non-E3” with a State of Play presentation. The latter has been rumoured for days. If everything is true, the program will be made with a mixture of third-party titles and PlayStation Studios’ own projects. So players have a good reason to keep an eye on the live stream, although here at home, it’s so impractical due to the timing…
While we don’t know much about Sony’s strategy for upcoming releases, the event aims to raise the bar by showcasing “the latest news on 14 PS5 and PS VR2 games, including a preview of PlayStation Studios titles coming later this year.”
According to the announcement of the Japanese company, all of this will be discussed in more than 30 minutes.
How and where can you watch PlayStation State of Play?
As has become the norm when announcing special events, PlayStation will not hold back when it comes to presenting State of Play. Sony has confirmed that the stream will occur on May 30th at 23:59 CET (see the national schedule in the link below). Players will be able to follow the stream on PlayStation’s official YouTube, Twitch and TikTok channels. You will find the video of the YouTube stream embedded at the end of the article.
The stream will cover the latest PlayStation news, remind you of the announcements that can be confirmed at the presentation, and conclude with an overview of everything Sony will present at the conference.
What will we see at the PlayStation event?
Of course, we have already heard many rumours about possible State of Play announcements. In the past few days, news about Concord, a LEGO version of Horizon, a new Astro Bot, and a PC port of God of War: Ragnarok have also been leaked. However, it’s worth noting that part of the event also focuses on games for PS VR2.
So, what are the greatest desires of the community? In addition to the long-awaited PC Bloodborne, players also want to see news about the Spider-Man 2 DLC. In fact, a trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine may even debut. It’s important to note here that the event focuses on games coming out later this year. So, it is unlikely that Insomniac Games’ project will be included in the presentation. However, one of the nice things about this industry is that the summer conferences are always full of pleasant surprises…
