Paris: Several publishers suspended marketing after the terrorist attacks!

The terrorist attacks of November 13, 2015, still have a huge impact. In fact, the videogames will begin to feel the sting of them shortly. However, several publishers in France have decided to suspend marketing of their violent games (and they are all shooter games, so it makes sense) during the mourning days. These publishers are Activision and Ubisoft; they decided to stop the marketing engine for a few days – the latter one is a local company, which adds a bit more spice to this event.

Ubisoft stopped promoting Rainbow Six Siege – which will launch on December 1 -, and Activision paused the promotion of Call of Duty Black Ops III (which has been out for two weeks) between November 14 and 16. They were followed by Bethesda, who didn’t use any marketing for Fallout 4 until the end of the mourning in France, which ended on November 18.

We find this move an extremely respectable move by the publishers for putting away their cravings for money and show their solidarity instead.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
