Ken Levine’s new game – Is it going to be an open world FPS?

Ken Levine‘s name might be very familiar for Bioshock fans – he was one of the key figures behind the creation of this franchise, although he did have his work cut out in other games (mainly at Irrational Games, which he shuttered a year ago: System Shock 2, Tribes: Vengeance). He’s now working on something new, and we know several details about it.

Although Ken Levine formed a new team, the name is still Irrational Games. Nomen est omen indeed: it’s irrational! Still, they are recruiting right now; the job listing is giving away several hints about the new game. The game will not have a linear narrative, and it’s probably going to be put into a sci-fi setting. But, we didn’t know about the fact that it is going to be an open world game. For reference, Shadow of Mordor and Borderlands were mentioned. An open-world FPS? Now that is interesting.

Although currently it is planned for the PC with Unreal Engine 4, we find it impossible not to see this new unannounced game, later on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
