PS.Blog Game of the Year 2015 – The winners are announced

Each year ends with the PlayStation Blog voting, where users can pick the winners in multiple categories. Over 600.000 votes have arrived, which is the most up to now – not a surprise, after all, the PlayStation 4 has a wide user base. Let’s take a look at all the categories and the winners! (In brackets, we are mentioning the games finishing in second, third and fourth place.)

Best PS4 Game: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (Bloodborne, Fallout 4, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain)

Best PS3 Game: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (Yakuza 5, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Tales from the Borderlands)

Best PS Vita Game: Resident Evil Revelations 2 (Shovel Knight, Persona 4: Dancing All Night, Super Meat Boy)

Best Story: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (Life is Strange, Until Dawn, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain)

Best Soundtrack: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Bloodborne, Life is Strange)

Best Digital Game: Rocket League (Life is Strange, Yakuza 5, Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture)

Best Multiplayer: Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (Rocket League, Star Wars Battlefront, Destiny: The Taken King)

Most Anticipated 2016: Dark Souls 3 (Horizon: Zero Dawn, No Man’s Sky, Tom Clancy’s The Division)

Best Free PS Plus Game: Rocket League (inFAMOUS First Light, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, The Walking Dead: Season 2)

Best Expansion: The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone (Bloodborne: The Old Hunters, GTA Online: Heists, Destiny: The Taken King)

Studio of the Year: CD Projekt RED (Bethesda Game Studios, From Software, Kojima Productions)

We expected a similar result, so there are no surprises in the list here, except for the PS3 version of Black Ops 3 finishing up there. The prev-gen versions have no campaign and season pass… is there still a big PS3 Call of Duty player base?!

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
