We’re a little more than a month away from the release of Codemasters‘ successful rally game, DiRT Rally on consoles. The British developers returned to their roots as this was the same team behind the Colin McRae Rally series. The CMR games evolved into the DiRT titles after the unfortunate helicopter accident of the Scottish rally world champion, which killed him in 2007.
Codemasters thinks it was a very good idea to provide the PC version of the game for early access, as this move gave the devs more valuable feedback to improve DiRT Rally even further. The game is also promising for the simple fact that the console version is developed after the PC original.
DiRT Rally launches on April 5 on PS4 and Xbox One – you can also get the game in a limited, Legend Edition. The PC original easily had the better of both WRC 5 and Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo, what holds the game back from pulling the same off on the PlayStation 4?
