Dark Souls 3 on Xbox One or PS4: which version is looking the best? [VIDEO]

DigitalFoundry has completed their traditional console comparison of a multiplatform game as FromSoftware‘s Dark Souls III‘s PlayStation 4, and Xbox One version is put side by side – which one looks better?

Regarding the framerate, Dark Souls III can run at 30 frames per second on the PlayStation 4 while the Xbox One is dipping down to the twenties. The resolution is also different: Sony‘s console is capable of full HD resolution, but Microsoft‘s port run on 900p. We could simply say the usual multiplatform differences happened – games tend to run at a smaller resolution on Xbox than on PlayStation while the framerate is either better on X1 or it’s still worse, as is the case now.

Dark Souls III will launch on April 12 in the West, but you can still pick up an English version via the Japanese Xbox Store if you are willing to buy yen from the Store and use that to pick the game digitally up.
