[E3 2016] Why Didn’t Sony Reveal The PlayStation 4 NEO At E3?

While Microsoft announced both the Xbox One S and the Project Scorpio, Sony did not follow suit and they nor had the PS4 Slim, neither the PS4 NEO shown off to the public. However, we now know why.

Jim Ryan, SIE’s Head of Marketing said the following: „We had a bigger conference that focused on games. I think it makes sense to concentrate on the upcoming games for the PS4. About the NEO announcement: we want to be fully prepared, and be able to demonstrate the console’s qualities properly. We will do so when we are ready.”

That doesn’t mean that Sony wouldn’t reveal the PS4 NEO in 2016. Three potential scenarios can happen later this year:

– Gamescom reveal. This location seems unlikely at the moment.

– Tokyo Game Show. Local place and Nintendo would probably follow Sony with the Nintendo NX.

– PlayStation Experience. A nice way to finish 2016 off?

We’ll see shortly.
