Finally, the community can now see what the press could during Gamescom.
While Dontnod Entertainment’s game is still pre-alpha state, the effort of the Life is Strange developers is still visible on the evolution of Vampyr. While Vampyr is far from being complete (some of the elements don’t work properly, or aren’t implemented in the video below), human-turned-vampire Dr. Jonathan Reid can still easily move around in London.
We can see a few characters, the dialogue system, and the player journal in action, too – these gameplay elements could quickly remind you the adventures of Max and Chloe. While that train of thought is somewhat reasonable, Dontnod still seemingly took a more careful and darker approach. The butterfly effect is still present, so who knows what our actions and kills will change at the end of the plot?
Vampyr will launch in 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
