Resident Evil 7’s VR Support Is A Timed Exclusive On PlayStation VR

In case you want to play Resident Evil 7: Biohazard on Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, you’re lucky… but you have to wait.

On the image below our article, you can see the „PlayStation VR Exclusive” logo, but take a look at the lower left corner text… the fine print, if you prefer. It says „Exclusive to PlayStation VR for 12 months” – you can do the maths to find out when Capcom‘s next biggest title will be playable on other virtual reality devices.

As Resident Evil 7 arrives on PlayStation 4 (with PS4 Pro support), Xbox One, and PC on January 24, you can expect to play the game on the Rift or the Vive from early 2018.

We expected Capcom to make a timed exclusivity deal for VR with Sony (because unlike Street Fighter 5, there was no financial support behind the development), but now we know everything.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
