Widespread DDoS Attacks Across The States

While yesterday started out as just another Friday, it turned for the worse in no time. In case you could not access PlayStation Network or Twitter, it was because the services were unaccessible!

The DDoS attacks mainly aimed Dyn. They could only resist the attacks for a short time, as the second round knocked them flat out.

The target was Dyn’s DNS infrastructure, which helps people to access sites easier. If you wanted to see twitter.com, you don’t have to remember the IP address. Multiple sites were affected yesterday from Twitter, Reddit, to Soundcloud (which was accessible without a problem in Europe, though), and Spotify.

PlayStation Network also hit the ground – Destiny, FIFA 17, or the just released Battlefield 1 was unplayable online, and this service outage didn’t get limited to the East Cost of the United States, but Europe was also influenced as well.

At the moment, everything is working just fine.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
