Capcom: Porting Games To Switch; Resident Evil Talks

One of the key partners of the Nintendo Switch will be Capcom – they have plans with the new platform.

In their latest financial earnings report, they mention that they are doing research at the moment to see which PlayStation 4 and Xbox One games should be ported over to the different (portable!) platform.

In the report, Resident Evil 7 is also mentioned – the Japanese company has raised the bar significantly for the game. By the end of the fiscal year (end of March), 4 million copies should be shipped, but the game would be a „foundation” title, performing consistently in sales especially because of the growth in digital sales.

We also have to mention Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, which will be out just three days after the game (RE7: January 24, while the cinemas begin airing the film from January 27). After The Final Chapter, Capcom is planning to shift over to CG with the franchise.

Let’s just hope Capcom doesn’t flop with Resident Evil 7.
