Another Sign Of Shenmue I-II Potentially Getting A Remaster

Did our requests not fall on deaf ears for once?

SEGA of Europe has registered the shenmuehd.com website – in case you don’t believe us, have a look at the WhoIs information. It’s no bluff; SEGA is preparing for something, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Shenmue‘s first two instalments have been some of the best games on the SEGA Dreamcast, and the company never ruled out updating, remastering these two games, which means more people could experience why this franchise has become oh-so-known and liked.

The issue lies within the tonnes of licensed items in-game. SEGA either has to remove all references or renew contracts not to run into legal issues with the other companies due to those products. SEGA also has to be on song: Shenmue III is coming soon, and they can’t shoot themselves in the foot with a botched remaster.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
