After purchasing a domain, there’s another sign of Shenmue I-II getting remastered.
On the NeoGAF forums, there’s a link to Rice Digital, where the site says how Shenmue‘s first games will get an HD remaster. Quoting the site: „A trusted source close to Atlus USA, today revealed to me that Shenmue HD Remaster would be released this year. Both games, Episodes 1 & 2, may be released together rather than separately. They are presumably being geared up for launch to precede Shenmue 3, which could slip into 2018.”
A small explanation. Atlus USA? Yes: don’t forget, this company is owned by SEGA, and Shenmue I-II was previously made by SEGA AM2, led by Yu Suzuki. A question arises: what platforms would get the remasters? The PlayStation 4 is definitely on the cards (due to III), but it is also „safe to assume a PC/Steam release” as well.
SEGA is working on something, then… will there be an announcement at E3?
