Battalion 1944 Gets A Publisher [VIDEO]

„Oldschool” World War II first-person shooter? That sounds promising.

Battalion 1944 is being developed by Derby-based Bulkhead Interactive, and the project was picked up by Square Enix Collective, which means finding a publisher is not a problem for the devs anymore. The game first showed up a year ago requiring crowdfunding, but it promised to bring the second World War to the current console generation as a classic, multiplayer-based FPS title. As we don’t see something similar often (Battlefield 1 went to the first World War, and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare chose the future, and those are just the bigger names), it’s worth following the development of this project.

Battalion 1944 is going to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and Bulkhead is currently wrapping up the closed alpha.
