Did Marvel Just Say When The PS4-Exclusive Spider-Man Game Drops?

One of the pleasant surprises of last year’s Sony E3 conference was mentioned by one of the bigwigs of Marvel.

During a live stream , Ryan Penagos, Vice President of Marvel Digital Media Group has mentioned both Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite and Insomniac Games” PlayStation 4-exclusive Spider-Man game would launch in 2017. That’s new: until now, we didn’t even have a release year applied to Peter Parker’s adventures!

There’s some sense behind a 2017 release: in July, Spider-Man: Homecoming will hit the cinemas, and Sony might time the game’s release close to its DVD/Blu-ray release, hitting two birds with one stone in the process. (We find the July release unlikely – since E3, we have seen absolutely nothing of the game!)

As Sony and Insomniac didn’t say anything about Penagos’ comments, we can only hope that he didn’t lie blatantly to us.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
