Dead Island 2 Is Apparently Still In Development

Deep Silver and Dead Island 2 – you could barely hear these names in one sentence in the past year…

The publisher has announced Dead Island 2 in June 2014, but the original developer, Yager (Spec Ops: The Line) and Deep Silver have ended up parting ways, which meant that someone else had to take over the project. It was Sumo Digital, as revealed in March 2016. Since then, we have heard pretty much nothing of the game, but Deep Silver told Eurogamer the following: „Dead Island 2 is in development at Sumo Digital, and we are excited by the progress the team is making with Deep Silver’s most successful IP. When we are ready to share more information, we will.”

Oh really? How about showing the game then? It was announced three years ago, and since then, we don’t remember seeing Dead Island 2 in action, and if the publisher considers this IP as their most successful, we should see some of it shortly…
